How does it work?

With BTX(A)  multiple injections (40 per side) are used in the armpits. It can take a few days or more to work. On average, there is over 70-80% decrease of sweat production in that area that lasts on average 6-7 months. Therefore, you are treated once or twice per year

What areas can be treated with BTX(a)?

Hands

Hands also work very well with BTX(A).   Because the hands are a sensitive area it is common to have  some anesthetic cream   placed on the palms so that the injections are painless.  Alternatively  inhalational gas can be used to make the treatment more comfortable. However if this is used you should not drive for 24 hours .

Forehead

BTX(A) is extremely affective on this area of sweating. Most sweating occurs near the hair line and drips down the face. With a few simple injections this often very visible area of sweating can treated.

Underarms

BTX-a is also used for the armpits . A simple solution(iodine) is put on the skin to see the exact area a person sweats from and then BTX(A) in injected .

Feet (Plantar)

Feet, like the hands often require some anesthetic before treatment. It is not uncommon to find improvement of the feet after just the hands are treated. Although many people have a high level of satisfaction with treatment of the feet it can sometimes not be as predictable as the hands and underarms as to the degree of treatment success.
